This cotton silk saree is made using traditional Bagru handblockprint technique. Bagru handblockprint technique is practised by Chippa community from small town Bagru near Jaipur in Rajasthan, using natural dyes.
Black colour (Syahi) prepared from iron extract with jaggery mixing for minimum 15 days in plastic jars. Red colour (Begar) prepared from ALUM. Mehroon (Ruby Red) colour prepared by mixing alum and iron extract paste in different ratios as per shade.
Sarees are dyed using traditional methods hence they are not as bright as seen in pictures.
Pictures are clicked in daylight but difference in shade might appear slightly due to different viewing devices
Wash care : Preferably dry clean or Hand wash gently and separately in cold water. Do not soak. Dry in shade.
Handcrafted products tend to bleed out excess colour in initial washes.
Little imperfections in colour and design are inherent to the handmade products and outcome of human involvement. There will be colour stains as product is handmade, it will not be considered as defect
